Maintaining a positive attitude is also difficult in tough times but it is important to overcome the frustration with a "CAN DO" approach.  A Positive attitude attracts positive energy from others.  This allows jobseekers to build an all important job search network of friends and associates who are willing to help.  Plan each day and get up early in the morning to get started. 

First things first.  Develop a Job Search Plan and write it down. You should spend between 60 and 80 percent of your time search the hidden job market because studies show that over 80% of careers are located there.  The hidden job market are the available Houston jobs that have not been advertised.  Many employers have positions available for weeks and sometimes months before they get around to advertise it on the internet or newspaper.  You want to position yourself so that you can get one of those unadvertised position.
